Sharon Banks formed Bankable Marketing Strategies after serving in management positions with Fortune 500 companies Digital Equipment Corporation, IBM, and Ford Motor Company, as well as in the public sector with Wayne County government with its county-seat in Detroit, Michigan. Sharon’s career spans over twenty-five years in the areas of sales, marketing communications, public and media relations, advertising, corporate contributions and philanthropy as well as non-profit and community engagement.
After serving as director of communications and press secretary for the county of Wayne from 2003 to 2009, Sharon returned to the private sector. Her expertise includes developing and implementing marketing programs and campaign strategies in the public, private, and non-profit sectors. She is often called upon to serve as the liaison for multicultural and inclusion marketing initiatives.
Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing Communications from Wayne State University and has completed graduate work in Strategic Marketing Communications at Michigan State University. She is also a graduate of Wayne State University’s Non-profit Institute for Fundraising Executives and has participated in several advanced business management forums.
Recognized as a consummate marketing professional, Sharon has numerous professional affiliations and serves on a variety of nonprofit boards and committees providing consultation and support.

Director of Communications
Erica Banks is a graduate of Eastern Michigan University holding a Bachelor of Science Degree in English Language. Ms. Banks has more than ten years Marketing, Event Management, Community Outreach and Public Relations experience.
Erica’s professional background includes her position as Account Executive with the PCG Campbell marketing agency whose primary client is Ford Motor Company; there she managed projects for the Ford Fund and Ford Racing Team. She served as the lead agency liaison on several programs ranging from the Grand Prix of Toronto to the NAACP National Convention.
Erica also has experience in education, government and health care sectors. She has provided marketing expertise to the non-profit organization, Twenty-First Century Sisterhood, a youth mentoring program. As Marketing Coordinator, she developed program curriculums, designed and implemented marketing strategies and managed volunteer, parent and community outreach initiatives. Marketing Coordinator for the Wayne County Patient Care Management System, Erica developed collateral materials, executed community outreach and designed and monitored health care marketing efforts. Erica also provided marketing services for the Wayne County Community College District serving the Chancellor’s Office and numerous projects in the departments of Student Affairs and International Studies.
